Camp Hoffman is the primary resident retreat for the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island (GSRI). The campground is a pristine setting offering hiking trails through pine groves, a large pond for water recreation, a Girl Scout Museum and historic cemetery site. Saccoccio & Associates was retained by the GSRI to design Wellville Lodge, a camp facility featuring a meeting room, kitchen, nurse’s office and bunk accommodations for 24. The building architecture reflects the rustic setting and camp vernacular with its exposed wood trusses, stone fireplace and overall simplicity.
