This new facility design by Saccoccio & Associates for URI’s campus-wide food service is comprised of a food distribution warehouse, bakery and administrative offices. The facility uses” Smart Green” sustainable design elements:
- Siting for optimal sun
- Skylights
- Day-lighting system – no artificial light during day
- Low-E windows
- Increased insulation.
