Phase 1 of New England Institute of Technology’s (NEIT) new campus transformed a three-level corporate building to accommodate academic programs in Architectural & Building Technology, Business & Information Technology and Allied Health. Smart Classrooms, dedicated multi-media production studios and state-of-the-art nurse training labs were all part of the design plan. Designed to achieve LEED Silver, this project included: many recycled existing interior finishing materials;“enviro-system” floor tiles; skylights, energy-efficient lighting & day-lighting sensors; exterior pole lighting conversion for significant energy and cost savings; redesign of existing HVAC system to optimize efficiency.
