Size: Addition = 10,000 square feet; renovations = 151,000 square feet

Coventry’s Knotty Oak Middle School was transformed by Saccoccio & Associates with a complete interior renovation and expansive new addition. The original cafeteria was converted to a new media center and both the gymnasium and auditorium were renovated. Three new small cafeterias, one for each grade level, were added with each serviced by a central kitchen. The Town’s existing Vocational -Technical school was re-purposed and renewed as middle school classroom space, conference rooms and administrative offices. The new addition provides art rooms, new classrooms, and a secondary entrance that connects the two existing structures into one cohesive middle school complex.
