Project: Renovations & re-configuration of facility

Constructed in 1967, this heavily used community rink had fallen into disrepair. The challenge for Saccoccio & Associates was to redesign the entire facility to comply with current codes and complete construction before the fall hockey season began. New mechanical systems, sprinkler system, wheel chair lift and stairways were incorporated along with new sound and lighting systems, and a new press box. An addition was designed to accommodate new sources of revenue for the rink including a pro shop, skate rental, a game arcade and a concession area, all easily reached from the new entrance. This project was completed during a three-month period and ready for the start of the fall hockey season.
